Tyler Kubicz | Founder

Hi! I’m Tyler, the face behind the lens at Dovetale Digital. I’ve been a film geek since I was a kid making LEGO stop-motion videos for YouTube. Little did I know, later on, this would become my dream job. That passion led me to Rowan University, where I produced countless projects, culminating in a senior thesis documentary called Reberth.

At Rowan, I earned a B.A. in Radio/TV/Film in 2018 before working as a Production Assistant in NYC’s film industry. When COVID-19 put a halt to production, I pivoted and launched Dovetale Digital in April of 2020 as soon as weddings started getting canceled. Not the easiest time to start, but the persistence paid off. I created PSA’s for local non-profits, recreated entire live, in-person events virtually, and filmed music videos for my friends. The documentary world would come knocking once more as I joined up as a Camera Assistant on After the Bite, a feature-length documentary about shark sightings on Cape Cod, extremely reminiscent of Jaws.

I later joined Sky Elements Drone Shows as a Production Manager on their content team, where I developed a deep appreciation for aerial cinematography. Over three years, I helped break 12 Guinness World Records, flew drones for America’s Got Talent, and filmed at nearly every MLB stadium in the country. Together, the content team helped get Sky Elements over 1.7 million followers across two Instagram accounts and hundreds of millions of views across social media.

The combined skills I’ve acquired along the way are all in pursuit of trying to tell a better story. No matter the project, there is value to every moment being captured.
